   • 606 –Daniel and others taken captive to Babylon
     • Under King Jehoiakim (Daniel 1:1-7)
   • 597 – Ezekiel & Others (10,000) taken captive
     • Under King Jehoichin (Ezekiel 1:1-3) Look at Ezekiel 33
   • 586 – Jerusalem & Temple Destroyed; remaining people taken captive
     • Under King Zedekiah
   • WHY Captivity?  Jeremiah 44:2-6
2. 70 Years & A Future Hope
   • II Chronicles 36:21 (70 years until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths)
   • Jeremiah 25:1-14 (v12 is where we read of 70 years)       1^st - 606 w/ Jehoiakim’s Captivity
   • Jeremiah 29:1-14 (v10 is where we read of 70 years)       2^nd – 597 w/ Jehoichin’s Captivity
   • Ezekiel 37:21-28 (future hope of the Messiah)
